Discretionary discounts of up to 50% are available for Registered Charities and certain not-for-profit organizations.

Dodd & Associates can register Domains in the .uk hierachies and all open registries such as .com, .org, .net, .tv, .biz, .info, .mobi and many others. Where we register a Domain name, we provide and maintain the necessary Primary and Secondary DNS services and maintain the registrants details with the Registrar at no extra charge.

New Domain Name Registrations

When you register or renew a .uk domain you are agreeing to the Nominet UK terms and conditions - see the Nominet terms and conditions. Our Domain Name registration charges include all of the Registrar fees. We always

register Domains in your name (individual or business) - we do not 'own' your Domain Name, we merely provide the management and DNS services for our clients.
handle notifications to and from the Registrars with regard to any updates required to the registration information - please note that it is a Registrar requirement that registrant details are kept up-to-date. We will always update registrant information free of charge.

Domain Name Registration Renewals

Typically Domain Names are registered for a two year period although registrations can be extended up to 10 years. When a Domain Name is due for renewal we will

send out a renewal invoice by post or, if previously requested, by email 30 days before the renewal date.
attempt to make contact with the registrant by telephone or email if the Domain Name is not renewed by the due date.
NOT automatically renew Domain Name registrations unless previously agreed in writing.

Registrars also send notification emails with regard to expiring Domain Names and this is one of the reasons that registrant info MUST be kept up-to-date.

Please notify us by letter or email if renewal of a Domain Name registration is NOT required.

Domain Name Transfers

Unlike many providers Dodd & Associates no not make a charge to transfer a Domain Name to another registrar. Please be aware that

requests for transfers must be made in writing and will only be accepted from the registrant themselves
on transfer of a Domain Name, all services we provide (DNS services, email and web site hosting, as applicatble) will automatically cease immediately, unless previously agreed in writing.

Expired Domain Name Registrations

If you do not renew your domain before its expiry date it will have all services we provide suspended and you will have up to 30 days (protected period) after to renew the domain name at the original renewal fee.

After 30 days your domain will be suspended and will go into a 60 day grace period during which time you can still renew your domain name but with an additional redemption fee. The fee can be up to £100 plus VAT, depending on the Registrar. This must be requested by email before the 80th day after your domain has expired.

90 days after your domain will be cancelled and deleted from the register and made available for resale through a third party registrar. Dodd & Associates will not guarantee the renewal of an expired domain name.
